About Full Moon Farm

We are a 10 acre (CCOF) certified organic family farm nestled in the Big Valley of Kelseyville, CA. We grow a wide variety of vegetables on 2 acres and about 1 acre of fruit trees. (Apples, Peaches and more to come). This year we planted near two acres of wheat to be harvested this summer.
To build and manage fertility we lab test our soil annually, grow cover crops, rotate crops, apply manure and compost as well as naturally mined minerals. We compost all materials on the farm and bring in horse and chicken manures from local farms. We strive to farm in reverence for the earth and all life. For pest management we rotate crops, use floating row covers,manual means and maintain habitat for beneficial birds, bugs and pollinators.
With funding help from the NRCS we have planted a hedgerow of native shrubs and flowers along our southern border to increase food and shelter for native pollinators. "Bee Blocks"- a 4x4 with holes drilled in- have been placed in the hedgerow as well for mason bees to dwell. In addition to providing habitat for native pollinators we also tend to three colonies of honey bees.
